Today has been just a wonderful day. Starting with breakfast in a dining hall with some 40+ of our favorite family members! As the men packed up the golf bags to head to some mountain golf course 45 minutes away, we women folk had to decide what to do with the young un's. So, we decided a trip into Blowing Rock, then, to a place called Mystery Hill would be fun for all. So, that's exactly what we did. Today's pictures were all taken at the actual Blowing Rock location. In the little town of Blowing Rock, there are a ton of quaint little shops and eateries, but we decided to make today more for the little cousins... which basically means, there is a STRONG possibility of another trip back to do some shopping later! =) The weather was wonderful and there was a STRONG cool breeze up at the top of the rocks. On the way home, we stopped in Boone for some pizza for lunch. The evening will be well rounded out with a family dinner in the dining hall, followed by the 3rd annual Mountain Kibler Mini Golf Tournament. The mini golf course is right up the side of a mountain. Darn -- I can play mini golf worth a darn when on FLAT LAND. lol! Anyway, by the time the nights over, we'll have a bunch of tired kids on our hands, and there's a pretty good chance I might be a little ready for bed too!! ;-)
